EMS team plays hard in Summer Challenge 2011

The award-winning EMS team took a rare day off when they headed to Camp Hill in Yorkshire for this year’s Summer Challenge.

Four EMS teams – the Red Indians, Pirates, Aliens and Superheros – battled it out in costume at the outdoor adventure venue to win a series of extreme challenges throughout the day. They included climbing a 40ft giant wall; a strategy-testing river rescue exercise; construction of a crate tower and a laser shooting tournament.

The day’s fun ended with a sing-song round the campfire and singing and dancing into the small hours.

Managing Director Keith Austin said: “We have had an extremely busy and successful 2011, and are on course for another record-breaking year, so it’s good to spend some downtime together.

“The EMS team proved yet again that not only do they work hard, they play hard too, and everyone gave one hundred per cent to make a truly memorable day.”
