EMS set for a record-breaking 10th year

Marketing roadshow specialist Event Marketing Solutions (EMS) is celebrating its 10th birthday as it heads for record-breaking turnover and profitability in 2010. The company is set to break the £5m turnover barrier by year end.
Despite the tough trading conditions of recent years, the niche provider has continued to attract new clients – including major corporate brands such as Sky. Pfizer, Dell, Infinera and Barclays - and expanded its services overseas.
In the last 10 years, the company – which employs 42 staff – has taken its vehicle-based marketing roadshows to 28 countries in Europe, Middle East, Russia, Canada and the United States.
EMS is benefitting from a huge uplift in business-to-business roadshows as more and more brands recognise its power to engage with international audiences. Demand for internal communications roadshows has also increased as businesses benefit from going mobile to inform, educate and motivate staff.
Earlier this year, EMS gained the coveted Investors in People (IiP) Silver status. The IiP panel paid tribute to the company, saying it was ‘undoubtedly a great place to work’ and that EMS remained ‘totally focussed on achieving its business objectives’ during a difficult trading period in 2009.
EMS Managing Director Keith Austin said: “The marketing industry has changed a lot since I founded the business in 2000 – notably with the move online – but mobile roadshow solutions have stood the test of time and are more popular than ever in the current tough climate.
“There is a growing recognition of the strong return on investment that vehicle-based roadshows can deliver.
“EMS’ success is down to its expert, professional team, and I am proud to pay tribute to their passion and commitment in always exceeding expectations in everything they do. This is reflected in our strong performance this year with a prestigious client list that continues to deliver high-value contracts for the company. It’s the best birthday present we could have hoped for.”
