EMS Helps Government to Connect with 3,000 UK Businesses
As Exporting is GREAT Week (18-22 April) drew to a close, we revealed that close to 3,000 UK businesses have visited the Exporting is GREAT Export Hub, managed in partnership with UK Trade & Investment since November. This follows news earlier that week, that there have been 20,000 applications from UK businesses to export opportunities at www.exportingisgreat.gov.uk.
To celebrate the success of Exporting is GREAT since launch in November 2015, our team including CEO Keith Austin, attended a special partner reception in the week alongside Minister for Trade and Investment, Lord Price and UK Trade & Investment Chief Executive, Catherine Raines.
During the past five months we have supported the Exporting is GREAT roadshow by managing the logistics and schedule of the Export Hub which uses the latest technology to connect businesses with export opportunities, support and guidance to start their export journey.
Trade and Investment Minister, Lord Price, said:
“We have a proud history as a trading nation. The development of digital technology has the potential to give even the smallest company a global reach and access to attractive new markets.
This government is committed to supporting 100,000 more UK businesses to export by 2020. Exporting is GREAT Week is the perfect time to inspire companies to take advantage of the world of opportunity out there and the global demand for British products, skills and expertise.”
Keith Austin, CEO of EMS, added:
“Supporting the Exporting is GREAT campaign to help UK businesses of all sizes start their export journey and grow overseas is fantastic. As an SME ourselves, we can vouch for the fact that access to exporting advice can transform a company and we are excited that many of our existing and prospective clients are increasingly looking to access new markets with a particular focus around the Middle East, Mexico and most recently Iran.”
