15 Years of EMS - Celebrating the Past, Present and Future

Anniversaries always provoke thought - both looking back over the years that have passed and looking forward to what lies ahead. And, as EMS turns 15, that’s exactly what I have been doing this week.
Over the last 15 years we have developed significantly, and we are not alone in this, the industry has evolved considerably. There have been huge changes in business models, procurement plays a much bigger role and takes more time, and evaluation is critical, with the measurement and ROI of campaigns being key. There have also been enormous changes within the digital and online world and, in hand with this, a greater emphasis has been put upon the value of face to face connections with customers and personalising customer experiences at the point where the physical meets the digital world. Emphasis is now not only on campaigns to be targeted at the correct audience but also on ensuring the experience that is being delivered is right for both the brand and its audience.
With this is mind we have used our anniversary as an opportunity to re-define our core values and brand messages. You’ll notice our website also has a new look, complete with a new logo with the strapline ‘The Roadshow Experts’, which is exactly what we are very proud to be.
Our core values reflect this, and support our vision, shape our culture and reflect what we value. They are the essence of our identity and have evolved as we have evolved. I’m a strong believer that a list of core values cannot simply be created – they should already be embedded in business culture as the passions, principles and beliefs that have developed over time. EMS’ core values are exactly this having grown from the principles, beliefs and ways of working we started with 15 years ago – take a look here.
I am incredibly proud to lead a fantastic team who have all dedicated themselves to these values, ensuring that we always strive for the best for our clients but always remembering to be friendly, engaged and competitive at all times. It has been an amazing journey, and we have accomplished a lot during our first 15 years, both as an organisation and for our clients.
Today though, I am looking to the future and focusing on what we do next to ensure that more companies are reminded that amazing things happen when you get face to face with your customers. I’m looking forward to telling their stories in a new and engaging way and pushing creative boundaries. I’m looking forward to creating many more unforgettable roadshow experiences, ensuring that our clients’ message connects with the right people in the right way. And finally, I’m looking forward to the next 15 years being just as remarkable as the first.
A big thank you to our clients and suppliers that have shared this incredible journey and a warm welcome to the ones that will join us for the next part of our journey!
