The Marketing Store needed an experienced and highly skilled roadshow provider to achieve the ideas promised to one of their biggest clients, adidas.
Our brief was to create a world-first. An intense and mind-blowing experience showcasing speed and power. ‘The Puke Cube’ was a 360◦ LED screen experience that took experiential to a whole new level. An immersive space so intense that we provided ‘sick bags’ on arrival.
Via the cube, you could access the merchandising area - giving consumers the opportunity to see, touch and try on Adidas boots. Outside, a penalty shoot-out pitch allowed them to test out the boots and feel like their favourite footballer.
The Marketing Store worked closely with EMS to deliver a major piece of experiential work for adidas Global, where we delivered a cutting edge, digital experience that toured European cities to engage young footballers. EMS were a great partner – ensuring our concept and high-level ambition was deliverable within budget, scope and timings.
When alcohol-free malt beverage brand Barbican wanted to maximise reach in the KSA market, particularly young Saudi Arabian males, they knew they needed to create the ultimate product sampling experience tailored to the very specific audience.
When insights revealed that young males in the region loved cars, video games and drinking the beverage socially, EMS along with the brands’ creative agency Ogilvy, created the ‘ultimate car gaming experience’.
Client: Land Rover
The launch of a new Land Rover is always a big occasion - so when the market greeted the new Evoque with apprehension, Land Rover wanted to hit the road and get face-to-face with consumers.
Together with Imagination, we created a spectacular campaign with centerpiece being the car itself. Carefully housed in a display vehicle, they invited the public to see for themselves that the Evoque was a true Land-Rover: a world class example of British engineering.

When EMS set up shop the market was missing a full service option for roadshows, and agencies were quick to approach us to deliver on this element of a client’s campaign. After the economic crash however, many agencies evolved their offer to bring experiential in-house. As a result, we found ourselves working less with agencies and evermore direct with brands. In 2018, while our work with brands hasn’t eased, we’re also pleased to say our relationships with agencies have come full circle, and we’re working together once again on developing stand-out campaigns.Read the Full Article
