Legislative Compliance

Compliance with the latest regulations is a legal requirement and a crucial factor to EMS’ operation. EMS is accredited with both compulsory organisations and also those which provide additional benefits to our clients and employees.

ISO BS EN 9001:2000: accredited January 2006

Designed to enhance customer satisfaction, this standard assures EMS’ clients that we are continually assessing our quality management system and have processes in place to ensure continuous improvement in everything we do.

ISO BS EN 14001:2004

EMS has successfully been accredited the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard in December 2007. EMS is committed to improving our environmental performance across the whole of the business. The rigorous external audits ensure that we are continually reviewing our activities throughout the business and implementing improvements to reduce all aspects of our environmental impacts. Operators Licence

EMS holds a full National Operators Licence and International Operators Licence.

Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA)

EMS complies with all rules specified by VOSA. By following these regulations, EMS ensures all its vehicles comply with legal standards whilst also making certain that we act in accordance with road traffic legislation, including drivers’ hours, the Working Time Directive and road safety laws.

Criminal Records Bureau (CRB)

EMS is registered with the CRB (registration no. 231884). All our staff are checked by the CRB, enabling us to make safe recruitment decisions as part of good employment practice.

Freight Transport Association (FTA)

EMS is a member of the FTA who assist us in our daily operations by keeping us updated with the latest amendments and developments to road traffic legislation.

SAFEcontractor: accredited July 2005

EMS received accreditation from SAFEcontractor, a programme which recognises very high standards of health and safety practise amongst UK contractors in July 2005.
