Motorola roadshow Event Marketing Solutions

Telecommunications giant Motorola has awarded Event Marketing Solutions (EMS) a six-figure contract to deliver a major B2B roadshow throughout Germany.

The intensive tour, launched in mid-September for 11 weeks, will target a major global market for Motorola – the emergency services – and specifically the German fire service.

The German public safety community are migrating to a new digital radio technology for communications.  The aim of the roadshow is take the technology to the users, help them understand the new technology and to build and strengthen relationships with the users. The truck is equipped with Motorola’s extensive range of technologies for the fire service – including fire officer alerting systems, mobile data solutions and the widest range of TETRA radio solutions for vehicle or personal use.

EMS has developed an immersive experience to showcase every element of the Motorola portfolio and encourage fire-fighters and decision-makers to get hands-on with the technology.

The roadshow vehicle will visit fire department headquarters and training centres across Germany.  It will operate to an intensive 9am-8pm schedule, designed to ensure maximum attendance from time-pressured employees.

Nic Whelan, Business Development Manager for EMS, said: “We are delighted to be working with Motorola on this prestigious project, and especially pleased to have won the contract against strong in-country competition. “

The 11-week Motorola tour started in Berlin on 16 September 2009 and will typically visit three venues a week until mid-November.  Motorola will publicise the campaign through a dedicated microsite and a direct mail campaign.
